CONDITION CHART
Fortepiano always puts the state of garments at the centre of his research, carefully selecting only pieces in excellent condition with the fewest possible defects. However, some gems capture the heart even if in a lived state. Here you will find a small guide on how we consider the general conditions of a garment.
Remember that preloved items may show in general signs of minor wear. We ask you to bear that in mind before purchasing and to, once it’s in your hands, treat it with kindness.
NEW WITH TAG
Refers to garments that has never been used, with original tags still attached. Also items new with tags can report signs (not of wear but of time), everything will be reported in description.
EXCELLENT
In general perfect state even if it is used, but hardly any visible sign in particular. We consider a clothing item in excellent condition even if it has has missing/damaged internal tags or lining. Also items in excellent condition can report signs of wear or time, everything will be reported in description.
VERY GOOD
Surely a garment that has been used over the years and that could present some small scratches or visible discolouration, however, do not hinder the wear. Any sign will be reported in description.
GOOD
This item clearly has a story and it could show possible tears or marks on the fabric including around collar and/or arms, pulled threads and/or fading or balling on fabric. But anyway it's still worth wearing it.
